Can someone please recommend a car service from Heathrow to Dovet?

Hi julieleigh, I just checked the distance and it says: Approx distance in miles from Heathrow to Dover is 82 miles or 131.94 KMS
Would be at least a 2 hr. drive.
So you do know that it will be expensive to use a private car service? We were in London in Nov. and booked this airport transport service from LHR to our hotel in London located in Earls Court. There were 3 of us and we had lots of luggage. The charge was 40 pounds.

You may be able to find someone going on your cruise that would share transportation to Dover with you. However, if you are flying into LHR then this option may not work for you as you would have to be on the same flight arrival schedule.
In any event, you should go to: www.cruisecritic.com and check out the Roll Call for your cruise. If you are not familiar w/ CC, then go to the website, open it and at the top right hand corner you will see a "Community" category. Open this and select "Forums" or "Message Boards". Then you need to look for your cruise line, ship and date of sailing. You can also post and ask if anyone is looking to share a ride. You do have to register in order for you to post but you can browse the site without registering.

You might check with Silver Fleet(www.silver-fleetco.uk) in London. They have a van service and put together 6 passengers going to the same destination to hotels in London, they may do the airports as well. Very reliable, comfortable and convenient.

My wife and I recently visited Dover and used Dover Taxi car service to drive us to and from Heathrow Airport. I recommend anyone visiting Dover and not familiar with the driving there to use a taxi/car service. they are reliable and flexible.
