First Time Mediterranean Cruiser

I've been reading dress codes - but thought I'd ask the experienced cruisers here what they have found works best for Med cruise in late May? We r on Oceania - so no formal dress nites - Thx!

I avoid jeans at dinner in the main and specialty restaurants on Oceania. Most men seem to have a blazer which often will be worn in the evening. Because of the usual crowding and inattentiveness, it is best to avoid flip-flops or any other footwear that does not protect the toes in Terraces buffet.

We have taken two Mediterranean Oceania Cruises and were glad we had some semi dressy clothes with us. Everyone isn't dressed up, but we found the majority of the men on our cruise were wearing a jacket (especially in the specialty restaurants. Most of the women were wearing a somewhat dressy outfit with either pants or skirt. They don't have formal nights, but I would not be comfortable in jeans in the evening. We loved Oceania!

I agree with Cali. On the Oceania Cruises that we have been on I also noticed many men wearing blazers and women dressed up a bit for dinner. Smart casual is a good description of what most women were wearing to dinner.

We've been on 2 Oceania Med cruises; DH never brought a jacket or thought he needed one. On our cruises, the majority of the men did not wear jackets to dinner.

It's casual. Golf shirt, polo shirt and slack is more than adequate for men. Sun dresses for the ladies.

I confirm. You have to dress up a little bit but its pretty casual

Hey Ann,

It is no trouble to bring a jacket. Just wear it.

If DH finds he can do without it - good.

It is easier to take one off than it is to find one to wear.

Enjoy your cruise.

PS: A jacket is also useful for cool nights
