Fascination 4 day cruise ?

Husband and I are considering a 4 day cruise out of Jacksonville on Carnival (Fascination). 1st time cruisers, want to "test the waters" for a possible longer cruise later in the year, but still want to have a relaxing time. Worried it might be too crowded, busy, loud, etc. Anyone have ideas or suggestions? Thanks.

Your worries may very well prove to be true. Also keep in mind that what's called 4 day cruise is actually 4 nights cruise so you'll only have 3 full days. Take a longer cruise if you can.

Significant will be when this is?? Overall, when schools are out, Carnival can have 1/3 their passengers, kids. Shorter cruises also can be more "lively", since they are available to a wider range of people. Many times, with Carnival the short cruises are true "party" ships. :)

IF you want a more typical sailing, look at different times and longer cruises perhaps.

Carnival's ships are called the "Fun Ships" because they are fun, and can be loud and have kids around and party people all over the place.

Personally I love it. My Daughter loves it to, they have a great kids program. And we are on vacation and like all of the noise.

If you do not mind or like the party atmosphere, then Carnival is right for you. If you want something a little quieter, then try Holland America, or Princess.

We are taking exactly this cruise on Dec 4th. We'll let you know what we think. We are traveling with a family group of 17 - so should get a wide range of viewpoints.

If you want a quiet cruise, Royal Carribean might also be a good choice. Great food; older, quiet people.
