Family outing- need help!

We're looking into a cruise for our family- age 3, 6 and adults. Just returned from Disney World, so we may be leaning toward something other than Disney, although wouldn't rule out. Have heard good things about Royal Carib and Princess. I did a search but still would like other input. Thanks..

I think you'll do best on Carnival or RCL. Princess isn't as "kid-friendly."

Disney tends to be a lot more expensive...

I just spent a ton of time researching the same thing for my son and I. He is 7. After talking to a ton of people with previous experience, we decided on RCL. Carnival seemed a little tacky for some reason, so I was deciding between Princess and Royal. They both have childrens programs but I have heard for the younger kids, that Royal is a little better. Princess is a little more formal and when you are traveling with kids, it is a little less stressful to be in a more laid back atmosphere. We are leaving in 2 weeks...

We've sailed RCCL to Alaska with my (then) 5 year old.

They had a children's program that she LOVED. She was actually at the program for only a few hours on a 3 separate days - but if it had been up to her, she would have been there much more often.

One evening she wanted to stay at the program instead of having dinner with us (I guess a table of adults is pretty boring for them) - the kids program had some kind of western themed "cookout". That evening and when I picked her up, she was dressed as an outlaw, clutching her "wanted" poster with her photo pasted in the center. It was really cute and she was a little upset it was time to go.

The program appeared to have some kids there every day, all day - and other kids dropping in for shorter periods of time.

Many thanks for the input. I think I'm favoring Royal at this point.
