European Cruise

Wondering if anyone is familiar with the MSC (Italian) cruiseline, and, if so, would you recommend it?

One of their ships sank last year near one of the greek islands.

Taht was not a MSC ship - it was a Louis Cruise Line ship that sank.

You are right - my mistake. All this time I kept thinking it was MSC.

I cruised on Sinfonia in the Med and had a lovely time. It is very different from the standard cruise experience. Far better food, small and lovely ship, gracious service.

Go to cruisecritic and read the reviews there. There are mixed feelings about the line. I am second generation Italian and found and service the best of any line I have cruised in 10 years. However, it is not a fast food all day free for all like many ships these days.

And the itineraries are terrific!
