Thank you traveller69. After 100 yrs. and no world championship we need all the support we can get. Being a Cub fan is a blend of optimism and expectations of doom. :D ala the Bartman incident in 2003 which was in the NL championship series BTW. However the Cubs still had the next day, game 7 and in fact had a two run lead at one point in that game. It just wasn't meant to be. Getting back to the Bartman incident what did that really matter? Well its 3%. That is someone did a statistical study of that scenario, i.e. a three run lead with 5 outs to go. In that scenario the team ahead wins 90% of the time. If Alou does catch that ball then its a three run lead with 4 outs to go and the team ahead wins that one 93% of the time. Interesting.
