Any suggestion for port stop in Dominica....I have never been and know little about the island- NOT interested in shopping

The most exciting thing for me was going up in the mountains and taking a ride through the jungle..we booked this through the cruiee ship..we the got off and walked along the jungle floor,to a huge steel bridge and badk on to ride OVER THE TREE TOPS..It was completely exhiliarating...

I took a tour with Levi from Bumpiing Tours. It was wonderful to get up into the mountains and his tour went to some places away from the tour buses, for example Fresh Water Lake.

we the did the "dominica most captivating" tour with nature isle explorers.. we 1st hike to middleham water falls, then swim at the ti tou gorge, then went to relax in the mineral hot springs..

Don't worry about shopping or beaches, they don't exist. It is an island on which you enjoy nature and mountains.
