Disney for adults only?
 

My wife and I are considering a cruise. She is interested in Disney but I'm concerned that, as a couple with no children, it may not be to our liking. Any comments from other couples who have cruised Disney with no children?

My husband and I cruised on Disney with a park/cruise combo ticket. We were childless. Personally I would not cruise on Disney if you are without a children. It is cute, I love children, but there are way to many others to choose from. Had it not been for the combo ticket we wouldn't have bothered with a Disney cruise. I have been on at least 4 other cruises and I would prefer them over Disney. Also I found the food to be substandard in comparison to other cruise lines.

I see that you posted almost 6 months ago, but here's my opinion anyway. We did a 3 night cruise with Disney and are now doing a 7 night. We have no children (young children that is)and my daughter and her husband have no children. We love the cruise. They make such an effort to have adult only areas that you have no problem if you want to get away. Many people have said that cruising on Disney is better than other cruises because kids are kept so busy.

Our friends who were with us on the last cruise had 2 girls. When they tried to take them out of the "camp" for dinner, they fought their parents. They wanted to stay. A mother and child were in front of us at the port and the child was complaining to her mother to let her go back on the ship so she can go to the "camp".

At Castaway Cay (the island) there is an adults only beach. It's away from everything. On the ship there are adult only areas and and adult only pool.

We love the Disney ships. We're 60 and 67.

Do a search, I read a report about Disney cruise without children, they said there are adult-only monitored areas, and no casino.
