disney cruise travel agent

I am planning a family reunion next fall on a disney 3day land/4day sea cruise. Is there any benefit of using an agent for this? The prices seem the same and the people on the phone at disney seem plenty helpful. I'd appreciate anyone's input.

Hi Lynny,
Yes please do use a travel agent!! This is what we do we assist you in your travel arrangements by going straight to the wholesaler you are delating the travel agents job. Most agents will go the extra mile for their clients they will check to see if the price goes down for you after you book the cruise and they will always have a little something for you in your cabin. Some agencies may even lower the price just ask if they could do better than the Disney price.

But most important if something goes wrong you have someone to handle it for you.

Jill is right. Not only can agents help you, but they also (if you find the right one) have lower prices than the cruise lines themselves.

www.cruisecompete.com allows you to get competitive quotes from different agencies to see if prices really are the same.

Cheers!

But the one thing wwwcruisecompete.com does not do is match the price if it drops after you book it. some cruises not all, do come down in price.

Thanks for your responses! I did look at cruisecompete but they did not have a disney cruise listed. Do you have recommendations of how I should shop for an agent?

cruisesonly.com have a low price guarantee, they will rate match any lower rate you have.

lynny.......dont know where you are,but I suggest you look for a "Cruise Only" Travel Agency. These types of agents do ONLY cruises....Failing that,I would look for a leisure agency that does only leisure travel, as opposed to corporate travel.Hope this helps you....S

Thanks for the tips. I am in Minneapolis if that helps! I will look for cruise-only providers.
