Dinner ashore in Cozumel
We will be celebrating our 19th Anniversary the day we are exploring cozumel. our ship the Paradise is at port from 9am to midnight. We'll have plenty of time to go out for dinner. We usually eat all meals onboard but thought this time might be nice to find a nice oceanview restaurant. We like most foods so would appreciate any suggestions. Also any ideas on what to do on this island???Thanks Karen

Hi: I'll be there myself off a cruise ship later this month, and according to my research you may want to check out Pepe's Grill. Also Cozumel is a world-class dive destination. I'm planning on doing a snorkeling shore excursion to Palancar Reef/Columbia Gardens. For snorkeling access from shore, seems like everybody goes to Chankanaab Park. Have fun! -- Michele

I am not sure what kind of restaurant you are looking for, but Carlos and Charlies has one of the best atmospheres (not sure of spelling). It over looks the ocean, it has indoor volleyball. Just a great place to see even if you don't want to eat there check it out anyway.

If youre looking for a romantic restaurant, dont choose Carlos & Charlies - it gets nuts with the cruise ship crowds. It's fun for drinks and dancing.

I haven't been there, but everyone on the Cozumel discussion board seems to agree that the finest restaurant in town is the Arrecife at the Presidente
http://www.interconti.com/mexico/coz...el_cozpre.html
I believe reservations are required.

Our favorite restaurant in Cozumel is a "Log Cabin" looking place right on the square "Zocalo" It is called Morgans and the food and service is terriffic. Not too expensive and great service. There is another restaurant on the second floor on the main street right next to the Zocalo. I don't remember the name but it is one flight up and very good also. i agree about Carlos and Charlies--Cozumel is one of our favorites
