Differences between the Voyager of the Seas and the Explorer?

We sailed the Voyager in 2001 and absolutely loved it. I also prefer the Western Carribean. Next spring we are planning on sailing the Explorer. I know that there are some slight differences. Does anyone know what they are?
Hi Dawn,

RCCL spent less money decorating the Explorer. The mobiles in he atriums are built with modern junk. The beautiful multi-thousand dollar chandelier in the dining room is no more.

What the Explorer does have is the Oceanographic Institute in place of the radio/tv station and museum.

The Explorer did not have the infamous Koontz Couple for the ice shows.

Don't let the above deter you. It is still a destination ship.

Enjoy,

Paul

Hi Paul, do they have an ice show? Also I remember when we sailed the Voyager they had a "hockey game" between staff and kids. Do you know if they have that as well. I have a "kid" asking.

Explorer has an ice show and it is awesome! I don't know how it compares to Voyager but I was very impressed with it.
The two ice shows on the Explorer and the two on the Voyager are just about identical. Do not miss either show on either ship.

I do not know Dawn if there will be a hockey game.

Paul
