Did anyone hear about some guy stolling away on a ship?

someone told me that she saw on the news that some guy got on a ship (she thought NCL) in St. Martin with out being a guest and that they had pulled away before anyone noticed he was on board. Is this true? if it is it is a scary thought

It's even scarier for me because I don't know what a stoll is.Good Lord he might have stolled everyone to death !!

getting on the ship without actually being a guest of the ship

I believe the word you are looking for is stowaway. No such term as "stolling away". Stollen is a tasty pastry though, and one I've enjoyed on cruise ships!

Ships now seem to have a requirement to use a boarding card (like a credit card), which must be placed in a mace to be read when you board. Many of the ships have associated a digital photo with that card, so someone who obtained a card is unlikely to look the same. If someone were to be able to bypass that security, and board, it would be difficult to know that they were not supposed to be on board. I have difficulty with how they might be discovered. Any ideas?

I saw that story on TV. It was on Royal Caribbean - Adventure of the Seas. The stowaway is a Canadian youth in his early 20's from Toronto.

If you watch the show there's always 2 side to a story on how he died onboard the ship.

RCI is keeping a tight lip on the story.

I saw an article on this not too long ago. The mother of the guy was filing a law suite, do to the cause of death being questionable.

Here is a link on this subject.
http://www.cbc.ca/fifth/cruise/index.html

This story was aired on CBC tv in Canada a few weeks ago on a program I think was called W5. They did show a video of the chap boarding with another person and the unidentified person he was with swiped a card going through security but he didn't

I wish I had of watched that show. Usually the only good thing on the CBC is "This Hour has 22 Minutes"

The mother's filing a law suit.....that's typical of todays mentality. The root cause of the situation is he knowingly boarded the ship illegally,he doesn't do that and the story doesn't happen.Of course if he stayed in St. Martin he could of been hit by a cab and they could've sued the cab driver.Jeeezzzz !

I didnt see the show but I read the story.Sounds to me like there was more than meets the eye.All around the block. And we will never know the true story.
