Dawn

I'm thinking about taking the Dawn to Bermuda from NY. Has anyone had any experiences on that trip?

Yes, I have sailed Bermuda on NCL every year. The itinerary is excellent and gives you a great time there. Easy to get around etc.
Since the Dawn is new here, it will be at the dockyards, but I've sailed the Dawn a couple times on the Caribbean 11 day trip and Florida 7 day trips. Very very nice ship.

I will speculate there will be some deals for those who late book due to the double cabin availablity compared to the former Crown.

What do you mean by the dockyards? Who do you book your cruises with?

The Dockyard is where the Dawn docks. :) The Dream will be at the other end of the island in St. George. Take a look at a map. Excellent transportation from each to everywhere.

I'm considering the Dawn cruise to Bermuda too...in August for our anniversary. We have never cruised with Norwegian, and I have read a few reviews that are making me a bit nervous about the service, the food or the extra charges onboard. This will be my husband's first cruise, so I really want to make sure the days at sea are done well. From what I've read, though, everyone without fail loves Bermuda and wishes they could stay there longer! Even though the ship comes into King's Wharf, it seems that you can easily get to Hamilton and St. George, which seem more appealing.

Happy to see Budget Queen's response. In late June we will be sailing on the Dawnto Bermuda - we will be with our family to celebrate our Dec. 2008 anny - our 50th - and since December is our time to celebrate the holidays at home- end of the school year was perfect (teachers in the family and for our grandchildren.) Truly looking forward to the cruise. It will be my first cruise - my husband travelled home from Europe after his tour of service in the 50s and I am positive this will be smoother sailing. Any help anyone could give me re day trips etc will be most appreciated.
