Anyone familiar with Costa Magic cruise to St. Petersburg??

I have been reading reviews on the Costa cruise ship magica leaving Stockholm but none are within the last 5 or 6 years...am wondering if anyone
has used this line recently and how it was...It is the only cruise line that does 2 days in St Petersburg Russia that doesn't cost
over $2000.Looking for a 7-9 day cruise leaving out of Stockholm or Copenhagen that does 2 days in SPB--can do May, late August or September
Any suggestions??

I think you get what you pay for. Look at Cruise Critic for the most recent reviews, which are mixed and include both very positive and very negative experiences ... to me not surprising. This ship is on the older side (dating from 2004) but seems well-maintained, but it tends to draw a predominately non-American group of passengers, so most announcements are in many languages. Costa is definitely a mass-market cruise line, and that's reflected in both the basic pricing but also in the quality of food and the many extra charges. That doesn't mean it's a bad ship or a bad cruise line. You just need to understand what you are going to get and be prepared for that.

I saw a may 25th departure out of Stockholm for 7 nights form $649.00 and includes two days in SPB. And yes I agree you get what you pay for.

Don't expect the best.

I would worry about their safety record.
