Cruisng from Bayonne=where to stay the night before

Ciruising on May 16th any suggestions where to stay the night before in Newark-

Rather than staying in Newark, you could check out the hotels in Secaucus. Many who go to Giants Stadium stay there and there are nice hotels. Also from there it is maybe a 20 minute drive to the Bayonne dock.

I agree with Siljac. Secaucus does have hotels near key access roads either to NYC or the Turnpike. I know some hotels in Newark are a little expensive because some are by the airport. I know there's a Holiday Inn nearby with shuttle service if you are flying into Newark. I don't know if they do shuttle service to the cruiseport. I did stay there years ago when my dad and I had to catch an early flight and it was a breeze.

Are you going on the Summit wfp247? If so, so am I in April outta Bayonne. I hear it's a breeze to get to and to go through(my dad did a dry run recently and he told me it was easy). I know you'll have a great time. Hope you and your family have a fun and safe trip.

Thanks. That's good you transportation and offers to get to the cruiseport. I wish I can go now to get away from the snow. Well 2 months will get here fast and there's still a lot to get done. Glad I can help. Have fun.

Unless flying into Newark and have no desire to go anywhere, I wouldn't stay at the airport.

If you want to stay someplace with a neighborhood and a chance to grab a decent meal, try the W Hotel in Hoboken. It's at most a 25 minute ride to the Bayonne Cruise departure terminal.

Hoboken has great restaurants and a nice town.

If you care less about that, you might consider one of the several hotels in the Newport Area of Jersey City. Not as much to do, but a few places nearby to grab a bite.

If you're flying in late and simply want a bed to sleep in, then plenty of options near Newark Airport. If something more - and less sensitive to price - Hoboken would be a better bet.
