CRUISING IN DECEMBER

Hello,

Is December a good month, as far as weather, to cruise the Western Caribbean?

Thanks

We've cruised the eastern Carib and also the Bahamas in Dec/Jan (over the New Years holidays both times) and found the weather to be just dandy!

It depends upon the weather. We did the Western Caribbean New Years before last. We hit a couple of rainy days, and it was chilly. Most of the time you will be in shorts, but I would bring a sweater just in case.

One of the bad days we were to tender at Grand Cayman, but because of the rough seas, had to spend the day at sea -- was too cold for the ship's pool.

Having said that, your cruise will probably be hot, sunny, and delightful. I certainly hope so. ((b))

Thank you both for your comments, but we're going to book our cruise for Sept. 14th.

India:
In your 1st post you seemed worried about the weather...now you are booking a cruise in the middle of hurricane season???

Good luck!!

I wanted December but my husband wants September. It's our anniversary.

Personally I would go with December- as hurricanes are supre prevelant in the WESTERN CARIBBEAN- ie Mexico -just about every year IN SEPT....
