Cruising from Lisbon to Cape Town, when is the best time to go?

I am planning a cruise from Lisbon to Cape Town, but I am prone to sea sickness. What time of year has the calmest seas for this cruise? I think the ship is on the small side. Thank you.

That's a heck of a long cruise, so it's hard to imagine there won't be at least some rough days at any time of year. I am also prone to seasickness but thanks to the ear patch, I survived the Drake Passage. You'll have to get a prescription but it's worth the effort.

Thank you PM. I'll ask for the patch.

November to early Feb is the best time to visit in my opinion.
Calmer seas - North Atlantic Hurricane season ends around November time.
Warmer Temp - South Africa is entering Summer.

Enjoy your trip :)
