Cruising from Baltimore....

We are booked on Celebrity (Galaxy), sailing from Baltimore (Western Caribbean) in April.
This is a new itinerary. Does anyone know 'what route' a ship could take to reach Key West in 2 days? Our 4 sea days will be in Atlantic Ocean. Doubt the weather could be warm. Is there someone who knows about ships/routes to a port?
Hi Elaine,

The ship will follow the coast about 3 miles out.

If you are sailing April 5th it will be colder than the one sailing on April 26th.

When you get down past North Carolina you will feel the heat during the day. The nights will still be cold.

There is plenty to do on the ship to keep you occupied and the spa is wonderful.

Paul

We are doing this route in May with a first time cruiser. Will the waters be rough? Thanks for the help

Hi Catherine,

If you run into a storm the water will be rough. The ship will hug the coast and will not be in the open Atlantic therefore a regular cruising day would not be rough.

Don't forget you will be on a ship and not a ferry boat. In rough waters you will feel a soft roll, not what you see in the movies.

If you are worried simply confer with your doctor and he will phone in a perscription to your pharmacy for the "patch." Be sure to follow the directions carefully. You can not put on the patch when you are in a storm and expect it to work miracles.

Happy cruising.

Paul
