cruiseline transfers v. taxis

We are probably flying into Ft. Lauderdale for a cruise in December. Are we better off taking the cruiseline transfers (there are 4 of us) or a taxi to the pier? Thanks

You will need 2 taxis for 4 people and all their luggage...

a taxi to and from the airport in Ft Lauderdale runs $10 per cab---

In FLL, I normally do taxis. It is such a short distance that it turns out to be cheaper and quicker to take a taxi.

I have seen some larger taxis in FLL that will accomodate 4.

We are a family of four and for all eleven cruises we have taken taxis to the pier from wherever we set sail. We generally have six or seven pieces of luggage. Minivans are the best, but most full size taxis can handle the luggage.

We take a taxi when docking at FLL. Besides the price, which is usually cheaper, it is so much faster and convenient.

Another vote for taxis. Not only are they less expensive, you don't have to wait for the bus to fill up!

Thanks for everyone's input. We'll definitely do the taxi way.
