Cruise lines that have 2 person seating at meals???

I didn't know how else to phrase it, but what cruise lines have seating where you can eat with just your travel partner & not a group?

Holland America has some tables for two. They will not guarantee it and you don't find out until you board.

You can request this in advance. There are seatings for 2 or 4 people in the main dining room. We were on a Bermuda cruise (Royal Caribbean) and got a table for 4 with my in-laws/outlaws. Didn't even ask for it. What did I do to deserve this?

Norwegian has personal choice dining. When you go to the dining room they will ask you if you want a table for 2, or do you wish to share a table. We always got a table for 2, and there are no set times for dining so you can go whenever you want. Its great.

Celebrity has tables for 2. When you book your cruise request a table for 2. When you board the ship your table number will be in your cabin. The Maitre d' is available in one of the lounges, go to him and verify that you do indeed have a table for 2. If not, he can change it for you.

The best way to get a table for 2 is to choose a cruise line that has some form of open seating, i.e. NCL freestyle or Princess personal choice.

With traditional fixed seating, you're not guaranteed a table for 2, and this is just my experience but I've never found the maitre d' on board to be very cooperative in getting our preferred seating arrangement.

Windstar has tables for 2 also-- all 3 of their ships are open seating dining..

Also, Oceania Cruises and also Sea Dream Yacht Club-- Both of these lines are also open seating...

Have fun!
