cruise from New York to Paris

Is it possible to go just one way, or does a cruise have to be round-trip?

Does anyone know how long it would take to cruise from New York to Paris?

Thank you all for any help you can give.

Jane

The QM2 can get you to London - it is a one way cruise and usually 6 days long. That is the closest thing you will find I believe.

There a nice search page at:

http://www.cruisecompete.com/search.php

You can pick the starting port from a menu then type in a port or a country in a "visits" field, and get all cruises that start in the one port and visit the other.

Useful for finding all of your options.

Good luck!

Thank you both for the suggestions - I will check out that website.

Connette - what is the 'QM2'?

The Queen Mary 2 makes the trip from New York to Southampton England in about 6 days. There is pretty regular service in summer and fall months. You can definitely go one way or round trip. Upon docking in Southampton, if Paris is your final destination, you can fly directly out of Southampton airport to Paris. It's very convenient and easy. The large carriers are pretty expensive (British Airways, Air France) but there are a bunch of low-cost and reliable airlines out of Southampton like FlyBe which will get you there more inexpensively. You'll need to do some research, but it's worth it. The other options to get from Southampton to Paris include ferries to France, where you'd connect with the train, or a train to London, connecting to the Eurostar train through the Chunnel to Paris. It all depends on how much of a rush you're in and what kind of trip you'd like to take, but there are many options.
