Cruise from Galveston- Hotel & Transfers
 

I'll be cruising on the Splendour of the Seas in Feb. which leaves out of Galveston. My air goes into Houston-Hobby (36 miles away). Does anyone have suggestions for hotels and transfers (taxi's vs limo svc), prices for the day before stay?

Bridget:<BR><BR>My sister went on a cruise out of Galveston and they stayed at the Tremont Hotel in the Strand District. They either walked or took a cab to the port since the hotel was very close by. This hotel is a bit pricey, but it was their honeymoon, afterall.<BR><BR>If the Tremont isn't up your alley, then I'm sure there are plenty of hotels in the Galveston area which you could stay at and then take a cab to the port.<BR><BR>An option for getting from Hobby to Galveston would be the Galveston Limo (it's a shuttle service). I don't have contact info, but you might find them on the web in the yellow pages for Galveston. They do runs from Galveston to Hobby and pick up/drop off passengers all along the way. I've used them (they've been around a long time) and they're very reliable.<BR><BR>Have fun!

We are staying at commedore on the beach it would have cost us 45 dollars to park instead we are staying right on seawall and we will leave our car there and they will shuttle us to the ship COST 49 DOLLARS ASK FOR THE INTERNET PRICE

We're cruising on the Splendour in Feb. and trying to find transportation from Houston-Hobby to Galveston. Someone said hire a town car etc to drive us. Does anyone know who to contact for this. There are 4 of us and 2 children and we'd prefer to travel on our schedule, rather than the Galveston Limo. Would appreciate any suggestions.
