Celebrity Reflection Caribbean Cruise: Is there Night life?

Hi all,

Its been awhile since I have posted, but I was wondering if anyone could give me some feedback on the Celebrity Reflection. I along with 7 others with an age range of 29-65 are booked on the Caribbean Cruise in March on Reflection. My husband and I have cruised on Princess twice and enjoyed the sail away parties along with the bars/dance club at night. I was wondering if we can expect the same kind of night life on Celebrity Reflection. I have been reading reviews saying there is not much night life and were no sail away parties. Is this true? We are not a group that needs to be out until 4am, but would prefer to not have empty bars and nothing to do. Please help : ) thanks!

Don't worry about. You'll find plenty of things to do. I personally likes the "lawn club" with the real turf at the top deck; and yes, there are organized deck parties.

You can find more info on the Celebrity Refelction with the fodors' link below:

Celebrity ships are tranquil and sophisticated with an older crowd. It will be nice for the "older" people in your party - the younger crowd will find he nightlife wanting - but you will find your nice of younger people as you sail. Just don't expect too much and you will be fine - make your own fun! If you are water babies you will be tired and ready for some casino, light piano bar and maybe cigar time!

For night time entertainment venues, most music played are from the 60's and 70's. We find the passengers on Celebrity ships are sort of in between Princess and HAL, age wise and generally activity levels are adequate. (We don't do casinos)

The youger people in your party won't find music to their liking until much later into the night. As the "older" crowd retired to tejir cabins, the DJ will play requests with music form the 80's and 90's.

My son and his girl friend headed over there around 11 pm. They didn't care for the shows or the dance bands but did like the stand up comics. For them, night life is limited. Food is decent, service good. After your trip, post a trip report and I would be interested to see your comparison between Princess and Celebrity.

Thank you for your responses Lvs2Crz and Eschew. I am sure we will have a great time no matter what. On Princess my husband and I did not go to the dance club until around 11 as well. Each night it wasn't that full of people, but there still was a mix of ages that would go and stay till about 1am like we did. I am very interested in checking out the differences and similarities of Princess & Celebrity. My husband and I had great experiences on Princess and found the ages of people to be very mixed during both our March cruises. We love the relaxing atmosphere, adventure excursions, we attend the shows and love a good meal. And like I said before, we don't need to stay out until 4am, but just hoping there will be a little night life and people out and about after midnight. Thankfully we are also traveling with a fun group of people. My parents are the oldest and the rest of us are all in our early 30's, however my parents also enjoy fun at night so I know at least within our group we will have a good time.
