Has anyone been on the celebrity infinity recently that can attest to the condition of the interior of the ship. It is over 20 years old

I think Infinity debuted in 2001, so not 20 yet, not new by today's standards, but not ancient either. To see more current reviews, go to cruisecritic. There are lots of reviews on all aspects of the ship on there. They are all over the place from great to terrible. Hope some of them help.

The Infinity had a makeover on 2011 and is due for a major transformation in 2020, as part of Celebrity's give-year plan to re-do all their ships. Once you select a ship, I highly recommend cruisecompete.com. You simply state the cruise you want, the type of cabin, etc. and wait for bids from various travel agents. Cruise lines, tired of all the discounting in recent years, have all gone to higher pricing. They provide freebies like gratuities,internet, open bars, etc., as the new method to not devalue the price of the actual cruise. So, it's not a good idea to book directly with the cruise line. They do have a lot of cabins to fill, with all the new and bigger ships, and offer unadvertised specials that certain travel agents can sell under the radar. This competitive website is a great way to flesh out these deals.
