Celebrity in January with teenagers

Hello:
I need your opinion on which itinerary to take between Constellation and Galaxy where two teenagers would enjoy.
Constellation sails to Barbados, DR, ST, St.George, St. John, Antigua.
Galaxy: St. Kitts, Barbados, amalie, St.T, Margarita Island, Venezuela, Aruba
Also, would it be cheaper to purchase your own RT ticket rather than purchasing the entire cruise package?
Thank you.

If you chose Galaxy, I wouldn't get off the ship and do it on my own -- take a ship's tour or just stay on the ship. Not a good area where the port is. ((b))

I'm sorry -- I was talking about the Venezuela port. ((b))

We generally purchase our own airline tickets. You don't say where you are flying from. It sounds like you would be leaving from PR. PR is high in Nov. as a rule. If you start checking now you would probably get the best price. I would also fly in the day before the cruise leaves. Just to make sure you are there. If anything happens the ship will not wait for you or reimburse you if you should be late for any reason.

You don't say how old your teenagers are. But unless they are 19 i wouldn't go on Celebrity. It caters to an more upscale crowd. Antigua and Isla Margarita are fabulous places! We hired a private driver in Venezuela and he was great!

We have been on Celebrity several times and my teenagers love it. They explain that for kids, food is extremely important, and Celebrity's food is very good. The atmosphere is also very relaxing for the parents. It almost doesn't matter that much which islands you go to; there are excursions arranged through the ship, if you want, or you can just take a taxi, find a hotel on a beach with water sports, and make a fun day of it.

thanks!
I've been reading a lot of good reviews on Celebrity Constellation. As long as there's food everywhere then it would leave no time for them to get bored!

I was 30 when I sailed Celebrity and the ship bored me. The kids on our sailing were even more bored. Celebrity would be one of the last lines I would choose if I had kids.

I always book my own air.
