Celebrity all-inclusive?
 

I read that Celebrity is surveying the passengers to see if they should go all-inclusive, whatever that inclusive means. Would you pay $35 more per day, or $250 more for 7 day cruise to not be nickle and dimed? What would you like to see included in the cruise fare and willing to pay for? Or would you rather have base price low and pay tip, water, etc. separate?

I'd love to see it be truly "all-inclusive" -- all tips, wine with dinner, soda, computer access, etc. Even some excursions.

IMO....... leave Celebrity as it is. Keep the cruise price low and let those who drink, e-mail, etc. pay for their usage. :-)

The Xpedition to the Galapagos are all inclusive. We are book in January. Cannot wait. It is a small ship, but I do like the fact the you do not have any extra expenses.

To me that is a no brainer...I'd gladly pay $35 to be all inclusive (I'm assuming all inclusive is comprable to the other all inclusive cruiselines which include, soda, bottled water, alternative dining rooms, wine & alcohol, and tips). I'm guessing that those who vote otherwise have never cruised on a ship where you're not constantly signing chix for this or that. It's so refreshing!!

I can not imagine why I would agree to buy "all inclusive". I prefer to choose my expenditures. I do not gamble, like a glass of wine with dinner, sometimes want to use an exercise room or spa, don't play bingo, want escorted tours ... Well, you can add to the list. The simple chore of signing my name to a charge gives me the freedom to not buy.

I will be on Celebrity expedition in October. First time for me and I'm interested in finding out how 'all inclusive" the extra charge really is. Since this is a different type of cruise, less party and late night, more daylight physical exploration I am expecting a more homogenous list of choises. Since everyone will need bottled water, for example, and bring your own hi tech water bottle to fill from a tap in Quito isn't an option, having that product included in the price makes sense. Gratuities pooled? Why? Until I know otherwise, and because it is Celebrity, I'll assume the system is fair or allows me to top it up for service beyond...
