Cave tubbing and Jungle walk, Belize

My wife and I are crusing in with a stop in Balize and the "cave tubbing/Jungle walk" shore excursion but my wife was a little reluctant. If anyone has tried this excursion I would be very interested in your opinion.
Thanks,
Bigtop

Hi Bigtop,

I thought it was great fun but I could imagine that one that is afraid of the water or cannot swim that well may be frightened. A tube is not like riding in a boat.

I do not believe anyone should talk a spouse into doing something. Go yourself, you will meet quite a few people since you will be smashing into them.

Paul

We did this tour last February and loved it. My wife and I are 60, so you don't have to be a kid to enjoy it. You walk through the jungle carrying your tube for 15-20 minutes. Entry into the river (really a creek) is a little slippery but adds to the fun. The river flows very slowly and is not dangerous in the slightest. You wear a miners type light on your head because the caves are totally dark. It was a wonderful experience and I would recommend it to anyone that likes a little adventure.

I have to ask any snakes or rats or anything in the water?

I didn't see any snakes or rats. The water was very clean as were the river banks. The river is really a large creek that meanders through the jungle and is quite pleasant.
