Carnival HOLIDAY fm New Orleans

Is anyone sailing this 4 nite itin stopping in Cozumel? I believe it begins this schedule in May. Much thanx!

Toto Apr 11th, 2002 01:20 PM

Look closely into the Holiday before you decide to book. It is a very, very old ship and has been having a lot of complaints. Just a little heads up there.
Toto

Jack Sigano Apr 11th, 2002 01:54 PM

STAY CLEAR OF THE HOLIDAY. The ship is a floating disaster. A 3 year old in our family was almost electrocuted by a 220 volt socket hanging out of the wall. This is just one of at least fifteen other things that happened to us. The ship is old and ugly.

I will traveling on the Holiday this coming Sat, May 11th. I, myself, am only 20, but I will traveling w/ 10 couples ranging from 40-75. I have read both good and bad about the Holiday. I don't really have a problem w/ it being an older ship. I traveled on NCL's Norway 2 years ago and had heard terrible things about it, but I had a great time!
Hi Jack,

When did you sail? I know Carnival spent 1 million in 2000 fixing her up.

Paul

Nanette May 8th, 2002 05:59 AM

Great attitude, Nikki!

I sailed the Holiday for 11 nights last month. T'was a delight.

One makes one's own fun!

You can see pics here:

http://community.webshots.com/user/nononanette/1

Read "review" here:

http://messages.cruisecritic.com/2/O...4&m=8363083405

Carly, I am the world's most outspoken critic of short cruises. Never again. I've had 7 day cruises on different lines and always had a good time.
Okay, Nanette- you have alcohol science down to an art, woman.A PH.D in ETOH, by golly. Enjoyed your review but had a hangover by the last line.

Monique May 8th, 2002 08:53 AM

No kidding huh Linda!!! I mean I like to drink and party it up too but even I couldn't keep pace with that!

Big Al May 8th, 2002 01:20 PM

That's my Nanette...!!! Big Al just loves to hear Nanette talk about drinking. She knows her stuff. Go Girl.

Peter May 8th, 2002 01:34 PM

$1 million in 2000 fixing her up! Yeah, I can believe that. Do you know how hard it is these days to get purple, gold and pink shag carpeting?

Nanette May 8th, 2002 01:38 PM

Actually, Carnival spent alot of money on the Holiday this year. She was in dry dock and wet dock.

New carpeting, remodeled bathrooms, etc.

I hadn't noticed the purple shag, but probably would have said, "GROOVY!".

(It would take more than tacky carpeting to put a damper on one of my vacations...you make your own fun/create your own reality)!

Peter May 9th, 2002 06:19 AM

Nanette - I do believe you could enjoy a cruise without the ship!

Nanette May 9th, 2002 09:10 AM

Is it that obvious, Peter?

WOOOOOOOO HOOOOOOOOO !!!!!!!!!!

Are we having fun, yet????

*grinning*

Jack Sigano May 9th, 2002 02:01 PM
