Canada cruises
 

Can you help me with deciding best port to sail from for Canada cruise? What are transportation accomodations from airports to terminal? How expensive is parking when you drive?

Well the bulk are from NYC and Boston. It depends where you are coming from?? It is more costly to park in NYC, twice as much, but public transportation is excellent.

I drive to Poughkeepsi and park my car for $20/week and take Metro North in for about $25pp and the 42 bus to port for $2pp.

When I drive to Boston, I park at the dock, last year about $100/week.

Look at itineraries and go where you have the most interest. I like Nova Scotia, and the Bay of Fundy access. Look at port times and activites.

Look at the new Pearl Sea Cruises, they should be in operation this summer out of Halifax.

Cruising from Boston is easy..the parking garage is just across the road and is a covered and secure spot.. A pre-cruie in Boston is a must If your flying the airport is right across the Harbor.(when your on deck the planes fly right overhead--low for landings) .you can take I believe a ferry to the Black Falcon Pier or a taxi which goes under the tunnel from the airport.N.E. and Canadian ports are greatly undiscovered, Boston, Portland, Halifax, St. John, Bar Harbor and even Newport.. especially they are becoming popular in the fall..

Boston is definitely a good port to depart from.

Do not leave from Newark, worst port in the US for a departing cruise.

TELl me about Newark.. we are leaving on a t/a to Bayonne and the situation is so bad to come to Boston we need to hire an SUB..the cruise bus no longer goes there..
