Cabin location
Has anyone taken a cabin with a balcony at the aft(rear) of the ship. Are there any downsides, probably looking at the Radiance class ship around Deck 9. Are we better going midship like we normally do. Felt like a change! Thanks.

Aft cabins have a larger balcony- unless you get a suite, the cabins themselves are the same size...
Only plus- larger balcony Only negative-longer to walk to most activities.. |
Actually, the long walk to activities is not the only negative.
My husband has a tendency towards motion sickness, so we always pick a cabin as midships and low as possible--that's where the movement is felt the least. |
Thanks Andy, just what I thought about the larger balcony. We tend to go as high as we can afford. Have had insides, windows, and balconies midship. Thought we'd try the rear where it should be a bit sunnier and away from the wind. Cheers.

Hi Morton:
Take the aft balcony! It is wonderful! I only book the aft balconies when cruising on RCCL. I am now spoiled. While others have two chairs and a table you will have two lounge chairs and a table with room to spare. My husband and I have fallen asleep in the evening or the day on our balcony. We have also had small dinner parties with our friends. The walks never bothered us, nor did the motion. |
