BUYER BEWARE

i was wondering if anyone else had a problem with cruise line ltd aka low price cruises. i booked a cruise with them for sept 2009 and put a 200 deposit down. unfortunately found i had to cancel, princess refunded the 200 with no problem but the next month i had a charge of 1232.78 on my card. they called it a cancellation fee. i had asked their agent about a fee before i booked and was assured me there was none. be careful with whom you book not every agency has integrity!!

Who is "they"---the ones referring to the $1,232.78 charge as a cancellation fee?? I'd dispute that charge so quick, you wouldnt have had any payment due till July at the earliest.

just another good reason you should always book with a real live travel agent with an office in your area.

I wonder too, who are "they"? LTD? Can this be a company name? Naw...

A non-refundable payment was refunded?

This poster also posted on CruiseCritic, and it looks it got deleted there, as Google's link does not work.

Could "they' be - Cruise Line, Ltd.???

Well, mistakes ARE made.I was being a nice guy by helping one of my roomies out with his car payment. And because it was past minit and he wa sin a panic, we went on line and debited my savings account for the payment $326.00.Ten days later,Capital One credits his car loan $972 debits my savings for that amount. It still aint fixed!! So, even the big guys stump their feet every onst in a while.I would persue that money with all yur energy....

In no way would I make the recommendation of "only booking with a live agent". I haven't done so for over 20 years and NEVER have not had a valid ticket. I'm going on cruise 59 next month.

This needs to be further looked at. How come they aren't going back to the booking agent and asking this question?? Dispute the with credit card company as well.

I am w/budgetqueen; I have not used a travel agent in 25 years; the last time I did was the last time my travel plans got screwed up, so go figure....As a rule, I buy directly from the provider; third parties only is the price is REALLY right!

I am surprised CED booked with an agency, cancelled with the cruise line.

Whenever I call a cruise line, their first question is: how did you make reservations? And only if they confirm, I've reserved with them, only then they answer my questions.
