lucky= If you can sneak it on, you can drink it....

easiest port to sneak it on is San Juan...the liquor store is just outside the area where you check in for the ship......

What do u mean sneak it on? If I had a few bottles of wine in my luggage how would they find it? Would they really make me throw it out in order to be allowed on the boat? Where does it say u cant bring on your own liquor....?

morrow, go ahead do what you want-then tell us about it afterward. No problem.

No one on this thread knows what ship is being questioned, some are strict than others.

We don't know what happens to the luggage after the check-in. With all this terrorist threat, maybe they are scanning.

Just find out from your cruiseline what is the deal with them.

I, personally, think that a cruise is a hotel that moves to different ports and it's no one's business what we drink in our rooms. But not all cruiselines think that way.

Cruised on Atlantica last month and they screen packages coming back from shore trips. Took the liquor bottles and held them until night before debarkation. The drinks on board were expensive but managed to get some onboard. Good luck

I heard that u can bring your own wine on the boat (royal carib), and for an 8 dollar corking fee you can bring it to dinner. 15 dollar bottle of wine + 8 dollar corking fee is much cheaper than wine by the glass on the cruise! Its a no brainer. Don't they also sell booze on the ship in the malls? (voyager of the seas.....)
