Bring Liquor on Board

I am travelling on the Sovereign of the Seas next week. My husband and I are celebrating a special occassion and would like to bring aboard a few special bottles of wine. Can we do this? What is the best way?

Thanks

Put each bottle in sealed plastic bag and wrap securely then place in the middle of checked luggage. I use t-shirts and roll the bottles in those. Try to keep the bottles a bit apart. It works great to place socks between them as a cushion. Don't try to carry on as they may take them from use. If you use at the dinner table there will be a small corkage fee.
Rather than break the rules you can order from the Bon Voyage Gift Brochure that you will receive with your final documents.

You can send all the bottles you like as a gift to yourself and it will appear in your stateroom when you arrive.

Paul

We brought liquor that we bought in Port in Puerto Rico on RCCL's Grandeur of the Seas. We had it in my beach bag and just walked on with it! If you are bringing it from home I recommend packing it like the first poster said. Yes you can order it if you can find those truly special bottles, but keep in mind that they probably won't have exceptional bottles and if they do, they'll charge at least triple what you paid! Also, it's nice to fix your own drinks and enjoy them in your cabin or balcony if you have one.

With each subsequent Paul post I am more and more convinced that he is enrolled in a profit sharing program with some of these cruise lines.
What has profit-sharing have to do with bringing liquor on board and breaking the rules?

Paul
