Best Western Marina Inn,Ft. Lauderdale
Has anyone stayed here recently? What is the
condition of the property? We are going on a cruise in November and would like to stay near the cruise terminal. Thanks! |
I'd like some info on this hotel too, can anyone help? I am not looking for a super expensive place to stay for one nite, just want clean, reasonably decent :-) and near the cruise port.

BW Marina is a very old property. My niece and her b/f stayed there a couple years ago for one night before a cruise. She said it wasn't that great.
I live in Ft. Lauderdale area and if it were me, I'd bid for a hotel along S.E. 17th Street. They have some great 3 & 4 star hotels that provide transportation to the Port. Embassy Suites and Marina Marriott are good (3* Downtown.) There's also the Renaissance (4* Downtown) and Hyatt Pier 66 (4* Beach). Depending on the time of year, you can get some great rates on these hotels through Priceline. Check BiddingForTravel.com for what people are paying for the winning bids. Even if these hotels don't provide a free shuttle, they are close to the Port and Airport, so the cab fare won't be too much. |

What do you think of the Riverside? My TA says it's a good option for the night before and the night after our cruise this July/August. Your opinion, since you live in FLL? |
The Riverside recently went through a remodeling and I understand it is really good. I know it's in a fantastic location on Las Olas Blvd. The Water Taxi stops nearby and it's centrally located right in the middle of one of the nicest areas of Ft. Lauderdale. It also gets very good review on Tripadvisor. I don't know if it has a shuttle to the port/airport. If not, it's not too far away by cab.
I've never stayed at the Riverside, but have been to many functions there. The food is good. Hope this helped you decide. |
