best online travel agent

In terms of service and price?

Any thoughts?

No question, Ann Stilson, 888-800-1177 or [email protected]. Ann has only done cruises for about 17 years, before that she worked for NCL.Her service and prices are fantastic! She is VERY knowledgable about ships and crusing! And, her prices can't be beat!! We paid $479, 7 days, inside (who cares?), lido deck-9- last Nov. Ann knows us and suggested we change our New Years cruise to another smaller ship which we did - 11 days, about $850. Then in Feb. the company she works with had a price of $299, 7 days. When Ann called the online company she works with, to book, it turned out it was for a balcony cabin, Lido deck. Ann put a hold on 3 other balcony cabins at $299 for other customers of hers. I used to compare cruise prices but Ann ALWAYS was lower so I don't bother any more. She saved a friend $2000 over a local TA's price. Zianna from this board called Ann & booked a cruise through Ann and couldn't be happier with Ann. However, Ann ONLY does groups, repeat passengers and referrals so you must tell her Bonnie fron NC said to call. I've been told she will ask who referred you. She usually opens at 10AM and sometimes you get her voice mail - she is always busy talking to her customers- but she will call you back. Give her a call and let us know what you think.

I've had good luck and great service from Abby at Vacationstogo.com. Easy website to use, if only to compare prices others quote to you. What I WILL advise is avoid ecruisestores.com, as the owner Richard Tanner has been both dishonest and unprofessional.

Why don't you take out an ad in the nationally read newspapers, Steve?

I think everyone on this board knows your opinion of Richard Tanner. He might make good on his promise to ruin your business. You stated on one of your other threads that this matter has been settled to your satisfaction.
Move on.

Cruise Value Center has the best prices, and if you want a great customer service on top of that, e-mail Alex Shusterman at [email protected]. He's a home based agent and will correspond almost any time. Let him know spur told you about him.

If you are interested in luxury cruise lines, I will be happy to give you the name of an excellent agent. (I am not in the business.) [email protected].

Dreps: Any connection? Names are the same.

If you're doing your own research, the best agent is whichever one happens to have the best deal on the particular sailing that you want.

http://www.CruiseCompete.com lets you pick your cruise and then get competing bids. I also like that you stay anonymous until you decide to contact an agency.

And c'mon guys, give Steve a break. Where better to do a bit of venting than a board like this? (And we was technically on topic...)

Triathlete,
Good point about the best agent. And you get the Oscar for the nicest supporting poster, too.

Dreps Jun 7th, 2006 04:53 PM

Jacketwatch: I have no idea what you are asking. What names are the same?

jacketwatch Jun 7th, 2006 05:05 PM

Dreps: Evidently the email address is NOT for the agent but to you for the referral. Misunderstanding. :-)
