best and lease expensive way to get from Seattle to Vancouver for cruise?

Does anyone have ideas on getting to our Celebrity cruise leaving from Vancouver. We're flying into Seattle and our travel agency is charging $75 per person round trip on a bus from the Seattle airport to the cruise port. Is that our best deal or would it be better to rent a car, take the ferry, etc. Thanks for any help you can give.

Quick Shuttle takes passengers from SeaTac to Vancouver, you can check with them for pricing, but that sounds about right.

I would take a guess that with more than 2 passengers a rental car would be the least expensive. Call a few companies and inquire. The drop-off charges may be quite high but it should not come to more that say $120. It is not a very long drive.

Consider the train. From downtown Seattle to Vancouver. It's a interesting trip and the price is less than the cruise line's shuttle.

Last time I checked there was no train service (at least Amtrak) from SEattle to Vancouver. Amtrak has a bus that takes over in Seattle and it continues to Vancouver. Is there another train that goes this route?

The Amtrak Cascades (real train, not bus masquerading) leaves once a day from Seattle in the morning, returns in the evening. http://www.wsdot.wa.gov/amtrak/

I recall about 30 bucks one way, but I think it says on the website. Leaves at 7:30 or 7:45 AM northbound, 6 or 7 PM southbound, takes around 3 1/2 hours, scenic route alongside Puget Sound for most of the way. It's hard to connect to/from the Seattle airport on the same day, but should be fine for those going to the cruise terminal in Vancouver for sailings on the same day.

Good price. Should be better than a rental car. Thanks.

Last year we went airport shuttle to downtown (think it was 11.00ea); dropped at the Greyhound Bus station and had a ticket for $36.00 RT for senior and companion. Can buy ticket on line at Greyhound. In Vancouver, took a cab for $10 to the pier. Greyhound bus was nice, seemed new, not crowded and passengers satisfactory.
