Beaches from cruise

Planning Caribbean cruise from NYC to St. Lucia, Barbados, etc. in January. How do I get admission to island beaches? Lunch at super special resort. Call and ask if I can make a reservation? I really do not want to sit on bus tour in lovely weather.

Most beaches are public, even if they are in front of a hotel, but there will be a charge for chairs, etc.

We generally just get a taxi at the port to take us to the beach we want.
Sometimes there is a shuttle if there is a beach nearby.
Some resorts offer a day pass for access to their pools and lunch.
You might even take a boat around an island to get to coves and beaches for swimming.

Join cruisecritic.com to read reviews of all the different ports, all the activities and how best to do them. Find reviews of your ship. Then look at what reviewers say about each port.

Join the roll call for your cruise on cruisecritic or Facebook to see what others are doing and perhaps share taxis or tours.

Look at the website for your ship's itinerary and see what the ship offers. You can do it with the ship or figure how to do it on your own.
