barcelona airport to ship?
 

the cruise ship provides shuttle options for $100 2A/2Ch 4 bags. Do u think we can get to the port cheaper! my research says it is a great city 4 trains, bus, and taxi's r cheap? even a private shuttle from airport to the dock? any info? tips to be shared? we r coming in a day ahead n leaving a day after so we have plenty of time,(I think?)

I think you can use taxis for much less than the shuttle. It is not very far to the airport.

We used a taxi. I don't recall the price but it was niminal, much less that $100.00 though that was when the dollar was 1:1 with the Euro, 2002.

A taxi should cost about 15 Euros. It will take about 10-15 minutes, depending on traffic conditions.

Cruise ships dock in at least two places in Barcelona although they aren't that far from one another and it probably won't make that much difference in taxi fare.

Just make sure you know exactly where the ship will be docking and I would agree that taking a taxi would be less expensive.

Don't try to do it using the Metro...much too far to walk with luggage from the nearest station.

We stayed in Barcelona two nights before our cruise and used Auriello --www1.dragonet.es/users/d5506/Barcelona Taxi... and he picked us up at the airport,, dropped us off at the hotel, took us on a tour the next day and then took us to the cruise port.. As somebody has mentiioned.. look at which port you are cruisng from.. and what ship...

thx do u remember the euor amount u paid? ballpark? the previous post said a taxi to port ran about E15 from the airport.

opps euro amount. we r docked at terminal C moll de Adossat.

Took a taxi for two on 1 May for about 24 Euro incl baggage.
