Baltic Cruise Land tour suggestions
 

June/July Azamara Cruise . Land tours not out yet but wondered where we should take the costly ones and where best to do on our own. A bit confusing thus far. Want to maximize our limited 9 day cruise land escapades. ALso, we have 2 days in Stockholm and 3 days in Copenhagen. IDeas welcomed. We are good travelers.

If you are 3 days in Copenhagen you have ample time to see almost all the major places.

I am assuming you read the Trip Report by patandhank.

I would hire Grethe as your tour guide for one day.... because

she will take you out of Copenhagen also to see Frederiksborg Castle , Kronborg Castle and also to the Royal Family Summer home called Fredenborg Castle.

Coming back from Kronborg you will drive along the Copenhagen Riviera.

Ask to stop off at the Karen Blixen House/Museum.
Her grave is in the back yard buried under this huge Oak Tree.

Stockholm:

The four places you should visit/ see is:

1. Vasa Museum
2. City Hall Tour
3. Drottningholm Castle of the Royal Family
4. Gamla Stam and the Royal Palace
DAy # 2
Then you really have extra time for walking about Gamla Stan ( Old Town)
If the know many of the place herein Old Town you can certainly fill in the whole day here.

There is also the Skansen Open Air Museum whihc is interesting.

What ports?

Yes good question what ports are you docking in.

Actually give as the name of the Port at each place and the amount of time you have at that Port.
