Holland America's 'Single Partners' Program to Alaska...

Hi,
I am looking into my first Cruise and my first time to Alaska.I see where Holland America Cruises offer's a 'Single Partners Program'on their cruises to Alaska in specified staterooms. They will find you a roommate for your cruise and if they can't you can still get the stateroom for a double-occupancy price.
Is anybody familiar with this program?Has anyone used this before?
I would guess the chances of finding another single to room with me isn't very good. And that would be Ok then I would have the room to myself for the 'double' rate and would not have to pay that outrageous 'single' supplement.
I would love to go with a hubby, family member or friend but I've asked and nobody is interested.
Thanks for any info.
Debbie
