Baja Mexico Cruise -- Seasickness?

I am treating my mom to a cruise (her second, my first) June 2009 -- 4 days on Carnival from San Diego to Baja, Mexico. I get quite seasick and am wondering how rough the waters will be during June. I know all the tricks for seasickness, but I am curious what to expect. Also, any feedback about Carnival Elation? Many thanks.

I have been through there at different time of the year. The ships stayed pretty close to the shore anyway.
Best sea sickness cure - ginger.
Modern ships has stablizers, you won't feel a thing. Enjoy!
