Baggage in Seward, AK ???

I will be taking my Mom and one of her friends on a cruise in earily June 2007. I think I have most everything figured out, but what to do with our baggage while we're in Seward, AK. I plan to take the train to Anchorage, but it doesn't leave until 6:45pm. That's a long time for two 70 year olds to be dragging luggage around.

Does anyone know of lockers or if maybe the train station will take the bags earily in the day??? Otherwise the train option is in jeopardy.

Lee,
Do you want to wait that long to go to Anchorage? Can you not go directly? Sorry, I have no knowledge about the locker situation.

First off you have ot understand that my Mom likes to shop, and there are many other things to do in Seward. At least enough to fill a day.

I used to live in Anchorage 17 years ago and a lot has changed. I took a cruise from Seward three years ago and always missed not getting to spend more time there. Now I'm doing a reverse cruise and will have the time if I can work out the baggage issues.

I've replied else to this post, there isn't a lot of shopping in Seward.

HOWEVER- the depot opens about 9am for checked baggage, you will have NO access to it until Anchorage, so be certain not to pack anything you need.

I also mentioned on the other post- you are going to miss your train, it leaves Seward at 6pm.
