jack edwards:

i live in Ft Lauderdale and fly in and out of FTL weekly. During our "tourist" times of the year any So FL airport is a hassle. FTL is a good airport, and if you looked around and saw all the new building going on, iy is only going to get better. don't judge an airport because you arrive/depart with 2,000 other cruise attendees.

Just had to eat my words about Fort Lauderdale Airport. Just returned last Sunday and it was quite an improvement over previous years. Organized! Curb check ins, very much security, and much more organized. Had E tickets and had no problems this trip! Was actually amazed at how much better it has improved!

Sandy, not sure what day you was in Fort Lauderdale airport, we were there on the 12th! I didn't need to be in the long lines because I used curb side check in and got the boarding passes after going through security check points. Had no trouble. Did you come off a cruise? Did you book your own flights? Also came from RCCL that got into the airport later than Princess did, after 8am. Sorry to hear you had a bad time, have done that for quite a few years and that's why I was surprised at how well it seemed to go this year. Maybe you just learn more of how to handle it after a few visits. We even exited to smoke and came back through with no troubles! Had a 12:30 flight and make it with pleanty of time to spare.
