Anyone sailing on the Xmas cruise or have sailed around Cape Horn ?

We sailed near Cape Horn last year. You don't actually sail around it or even past it. Rough seas would prevent that. We found it to be spectacularly beautiful. We lucked out and had flat seas and sunshine. The captain of the Norwegian Crown hovered in the area for about two hours so people could take ample photos.

Thank you for replying. We atop at Montivideo,,Falklands, and various ports around the Cape, ending in valparaiso. Any tips on excursions ? We have sailed on Crown through Panama Canal and found everything excellent.

We are sailing on Royal, we are starting in Rome and doing back to back cruise,in Nov, we will be doing the cruise by Cape Horn,we return Dec 10th and I will try to remember to post info on the portion of the trip you are interested in.If you like you could email us and we would be happy to report to you.That might be the best, since it will be a busy time, and I might forget.
