Are there any 2-3 day cruises from NY?

My wife and I want to get away,,, leave on a Thursday and return on a Sunday?
Are there any cruises that leave from NY?

If not doesn't it sound like a good idea for long weekends to nowhere?

From NYC, Regal Cruises has their ship, Regal Empress (the ex-Olympia of Greek Lines, 1953, a classic liner) doing one, two, and three day cruises all summer. They are very inexpensive and very casual.
I think Carnival does "quickies" out of NYC as well in the summer.
Premier used to as well, but they are out of biz!
Hope this helps!

Yes Michael the Regal Empress has one night cruises: June 30th and Sept. 8th.

Two night cruises: July 6th, 13th, 27th; Aug. 10th, 17th, 24th; Sept. 14th and 28th.

Three night cruise: Aug. 31st.

A wonderul old ship that is well maintained and clean, the food is good and the service is very good. The Captain mingles with the passengers. Cabaret type entertainment. I always remember the fresh hot donuts every morning and the great pizza.

Carnival has discontinued the shorter cruises. Four night is still available. It was quite a logistical expense to exchange 2,000+ passengers every couple of days.

I worked on the Regal while it was doing some of the sailings out of NYC. If you have any questions let me know. Old ship, but great fun and good value.
