Are drinks complimentary in the casinos

I am going on a Princess Cruise to the Caribbean over Thanksgiving and was wondering about this. I am used to doing my gambling in Vegas where a free drinks are the norm. Is it like that in the cruise ship casinos?

Good question! I don't remember anybody offering drinks off the trays in the ship casinos, but then I didn't spend much time there, and only by slot machines.

I do remember a cookie-and-coffee station one night, they had something special.

I would be very surprised to learn they offer free drinks other then the regular ship drinks: water, tea, coffee.

No, not on ships (at least not that I've ever seen).

Nope, they aren't. The overall odds/rules aren't too hot either compared to casinos where there's competition possible.

Thanks for your replies, everyone. The suspense was killing me.

I had a different question - it must be buried somewhere on this forum - do the slot machines accept cash, or players must use their key cards like in shops.

One can use cash. But if you win, you get tokens to exchange for cash with the casino cashier.

I just came back and thought I would post an answer to my own question. No, the drinks are not complimentary. There is a waiter who will come around and take your order but you are charged for the drink and have to sign for it. As someone pointed out to me at one of the tables.... there is no competition. It's not like you are going to go to another casino.
