Anyone Know of a Problem with The Radisson Diamond
We are booked on the Diamone 10-22 from Rome to Barcelona. We asked some friends to join us and they said that the cruise wasn't on the rssc website. Has anyone heard if the Diamond is going in for repairs or something?
Rssc has sold the Diamond, although I'm not sure exactly when it will be departing their fleet. You might want to check back with your TA to make sure your cruise is still on.
Call the cruise line directly and put all your questions to them - your travel agent can also do it but getting it "straight from the horse's mouth" might be a good plan.
Radisson sold the Diamond to a Chinese firm that will be making it into a casino. No more cruises after June of this year on that ship. We were booked on it and rebooked on Seabourn. More expensive but we liked the itinerary.
To clarify, Radisson did not sell the Diamond. They never owned it. Radisson was leasing it from another company who sold it. If you have a cruise booked on the Diamond Radisson is offering attractive compensation.

$700/guest on any cancelled sailing from June 4 - October 15. Credit is available on any 2005 cruise of 7 nights or longer aboard the Seven Seas Mariner, Seven Seas Voyager, or Seven Seas Navigator. It's combinable with any other promos out there.
