Anybody traveled on a Tom Harper European River Cruise?

I'm considering a river cruise through the Bordeaux area of France with Tom Harper River Cruises this year. Sounds like they are a fairly new company and I'm curious to hear of any input regarding experience traveling with this company. Do they have their own ships? What are group sizes, are passengers mostly from US? Any info would be appreciated. Of course, I'll be inquiring of the company directly but any outside opinion would be greatly appreciated.

Tom Harper went out of business a few weeks ago, so I would not book anything with the company.

Or rather I should say they "went dark." Apparently they have not yet filed for bankruptcy, which puts booked passengers in limbo.

Thank you for both this info. I am booked on a Uniworld/Bordeaux week's river cruise this fall because I had a feeling that Tom Harper might be chancy. Phew!

The bankruptcy filing was entered in June, 2015 by Tom Harper Cruises LLC, the company under which Newton, Mass.-based Tom Harper River Journeys operated. It states that the company’s estimated assets ranged from between $500,000 and $1 million and that its estimated liabilities were between $1 million and $10 million. The filing also states that there will be no funds available to distribute to uninsured creditors. It is signed by Bret Gordon, CEO of Tom Harper Cruises.

Bret Gordon notified only very few clients who had been stranded in Scotland. There are around 463 creditors who did not receive any notice from Bret Gordon.

Sheesh - I feel as though I've dodged a bullet! Thanks for the additional info. Now i'm really looking forward to October and my Uniworld Bordeaux and Chateaus river cruise.
