Another cruise with GD, a little yea!

Last year after all my angst about making a good choice, and much encouraging advice from here, we took DD and little GD on Norwegian Epic for 7 days. It was their first cruise. They both loved it. So, we decided to do it again during GD's Spring break.

Since the price is so great, we decided to give MSC ships a try, and are going on the Divina, April 4. We just booked 3 days ago.

Our GD (she is 5 now) was so excited, she demanded her suitcase and went straight to her room to pack. It is important to take the right stuffed animals and dolls. She also put her swim suit on under her PJs and her sunglasses beside the bed. She thought we were leaving the next day. She now has a calendar and is marking off the days. She made her bed into a pretend ship and is playing cruise with her stuffed animals every day.

Yesterday, I pretended I had never been on a cruise, and she told me in great detail about cruising, getting there, the ship, the food, the pools, the shows, the kids club. She said, "Oh, Nana, you have to try it. There are so many fun things to do, you will never be bored, and the steaks are so good, yum. If you are hungry, they will bring food right to your room, and, sometimes, Nana, you get off the ship and go to a beach. A cruise is the best thing to do in the world. The only thing, Nana, some of the shows might be too loud for you." When I finally said I would try it, she said, "Can we please play that again?"

I wasn't terribly excited about it this year, but I sure am now!

I enjoyed reading this. My grandchildren love cruising more than Disney.

That is fantastic. My kids are older now and were a bit older when we first went on a cruise but they love the all-inclusiveness as well.

Glad to hear you liked Norweigan...IMHO it's hard to find a cruiseline everyone will enjoy. In the middle of planning a family cruise myself, will keep NCL on our list.
