4 night cruise
We are in our late 20s and debating whether to take a 4 night cruise on July 31 to the western carribean without the kids. We are looking at the carnival ship (Imagination) out of miami or the Enchantment of the Seas (RCCL) out of Ft Lauderdale. We went on the enchantment for our honeymoon 5 years ago when it did week cruises. Any recent cruisers wish to comment? RCCL is about 100 dollars more so its not a real issue. We fear a bunch of trailer trash on the carnival, but wanna party without the kids so RCCL may not be crazy enough.

I saw this last night and didn't respond. I notice no one has. It may be because trailer trash is not a very nice term.

$100 difference will not be that much of a factor to keep trailer trash on one ship over the other. If I were you, i would decide whether the slight differences between the ships is worth the $100.
Which ship is older? Which extras would you use? I can't remember if that RCCL ship has been fitted for the rock wall yet or if it will be donw in the next few months. Anyway, think of those things. if you won't use the rock wall, or other things that RCCL ships offers, then probably not worth the extra $100. The two lines are very similar with both the food, entertainment and caliber of passengers. |
Didnt mean to offend anyone using that term. Just had a bad experience once on a cheap cruise after college. One of the men at our table during dinner wore a BELT around his neck as a tie during the formal dinner.

jpg,
LOL, I cruised shorter cruises on the Jubilee, Sensation and Sovereign and found that the cheaper cruises attract a crowd that is a little less-than-polished. Is that PC? If I were you, I'd hop on the Enchantment. It's definitely the nicest ship doing short cruises in that range. Be aware that in July you'll still have many kids cruising. When my husband and I cruise by ourselves, we've found it more enjoyable to do so when school is in session! |
Booked the Enchantment. I got a great deal on Hotwire/Cruises Only. Thanks!
